There are some shoots that feel less like work and more like life. The kind that leave you belly-laughing, wine in hand, salt in your hair, heart completely full. Our latest collection shoot for the NUNA Knit was exactly that — a @onceuponanartisan work getaway disguised as a really, truly amazing girls weekend at Sheepwash Bay on beautiful Bruny Island.
We gathered there — women, friends, muses — to capture this new piece, but more than anything, to celebrate connection. We cooked, we hiked, we swam, we laughed until our cheeks ached. Afternoon naps melted into golden hour light, and between it all, we created.
The NUNA Knit was born out of a longing for ease — a piece that moves with you, that feels like an exhale. Handwoven slowly and intentionally by our artisan family in Peru, using our signature superfine alpaca, it features soft bell sleeves and a relaxed, boxy fit — a little longer, a little looser, but with that same OUA soul.
This season, she arrives in seven beautiful new hues, inspired by the landscape itself — tones of earth, sea, and sky. Colours that hold warmth and wildness in equal measure.
As one of our muses so perfectly put it:
“We got the shots, but we laughed so hard, made a new bestie for life and afternoon nap snuggles... we ate, we drank, we hiked, played, and loved. As always, my fav, my love @fionavailphotography — what can I say… I adore you.”
It was more than a shoot. It was a reminder of what this brand has always been about — women, warmth, and the beauty of slow creation.
From Peru to Tasmania, from hand to heart — this is NUNA.
We live and work in lutruwita tasmania (australia), palawa pakana country, traditional lands of the muwinina people. We acknowledge their past and ongoing cultural and spiritual connection to this land, sea, waterways & sky.
